Tim Mack Sci-Fi Story Tiffany Stone(The Story) Now Available For Free At Free The Writer.Com
Published on July 20, 2004 By Tim Mack In Fiction
I just found out that Free The Writer.Com has published my Sci-Fi story on their site. I wasn't really sure if I should have listed Tiffany Stone as a Sci-Fi story. I had so much comedy in it, I was sure they would reject as Sci-Fi. I'm glad they published it despite my doubts about what title it should be listed under.

There are some very fine writers that are listed at Free The Writer.Com, so of course I'm delighted that they decided to list my story. Tiffany Stone(The Story) was very experimental. The general rule of thumb for a short story is to keep it under one thousand words. The thinking is that unless its a book, readers will tire if some of the lines become a bit mundane.

Off course, I broke every rule with Tiffany Stone and made the story over seventy five hundred words. I thought there was enough going on to keep the readers from the start to the finish. I suppose if you had to pin me down, I would concede that Tiffany Stone is really more of a screen play than a short story.

I wrote Tiffany Stone thinking in the back of my head that it may be easily converted into a movie. In fact, I promised Tiffany Stone, the Hollywood journalist and movie script reader that I would not allow Hollywood to turn Tiffany Stone into a movie unless she could play herself. I felt that this was the least I could do after Tiffany Stone allowed me to write her into my story and even let me name the title after her name sake.

I'm very grateful to Tiffany Stone for giving me the inspiration to write this sort of a story. Before I wrote it in earnest, she looked over some samples of what I wanted in the story and she told me that it would work. Because she is a Hollywood movie script reader as well as a Hollywood journalist, I have the utmost respect for her opinions on this sort of thing.

If you read Tiffany Stone's blog that's named Breakfast At Tiffany's you will see why I have so much confidence in her judgement on subjects such as writing. I will really be thrilled if they turn this into a movie and Tiffany Stone is in it.

You really made me laugh. When the twin sisters told Kevin that they took their clothes off to thaw him out and he siad that was a lot more fun than hot soup, I just cracked up.
Thanks for making me laugh

Thanks Brenda,

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Would you beleive that I first started to write this story as non fiction? After I read back parts of the story I thought no one would beleive that this is non fiction, so I changed it to Sci-Fi. I took certain liberties when I changed to Sci-Fi, but most of the story is true. Of course I'm not anxious to tell anyone what's true and what's not.

But you can bet that you won't read any store quite like this anywhere on the net. Its one of a kind. Tiffany Stone(The Story)

Sounds like a fun way to thaw someone out. I liked the bit about the butterfly. With the butterfly discovered on his butt, it tied in nicely when all the woman at the bar were screaming to see the buterfly.
